Question Dual boot Redhat with Windows 2k or XP

I know this is a common question, but.... I am working on 2 seperate computers. Each machine has one hdd. I want to Install Redhat with Win2k on one machine, and Redhat with Xp on the other. I know there are some issues with the install sequence to get Grub to work with both, but I am a little confused about which os to install first, and also if I should load Grub into the master boot record, or at the beginning of the partition. I guess I could spend a few days reloading until I get it right, but anyone who can get me straightened out..... Thanks, Jeremie

Computer RH WIN2k

Well you need to load win2k first and when you install RH you should use the lilo boot loader instead of grub.

Computer

yep, i learned the hard way... you want to install Win2K first, then use LILO. I suggest using the MBR.
by the way... what are you doing with xp??? are you begging to re-format? Smilie I highly suggest going
but Win2K on both machines.

Thanks. I will try that. I have been using XP for games for 6 months without any problems. It seems ok. I just want to load different stuff to play with Smilie . Thanks again everyone!!!
