Question Cdrom IDE in Plataform Unix

hi,

Excuse me for my english
How do to install a Cd-rom Ide in Operating System Sco Unix release 3.2 Version 4.2

CD rom and SCO

Have you tried to do a
mkdev cdrom
or even using scoadmin
then goto Hardware/ Kernel Tuner
then select cdrom/WORM

You will be asked about whether to install an IDE or SCSI
Select IDE

Then it will ask which ide bus ( primary or secondary)
Then whether it is a master or slave

Select the appropriate one and it may ask you if you need to install a Sirrea file system / Rock ridge / ISO 9660

Just selct yes and it will now reling the kernal and reboot.

Make sure you know which ide port you have selected

And hopefully it will come up.

Got two v240s I'm trying to install the latest version of Solaris 10 on. Neither will boot from a burned install DVD by simply dropping in a DVD and restarting.
