I want to archive the following all the files and directory like listed below:
What I tried is to use the following command
However when I opened that archived files. I couldn't find the hidden
files (those started with ".") like: .bash_history .bash_logout .bash_profile .bashrc .emacs etc.
And I also tried using .* like this:
But it also include archiving all the directories in home/ which belong to other users, which is not what I want.
How can I issue a gtar command that also include the hidden files and hidden directories solely for my private home directories?

rsync -av --include=".*" --dry-run "$A_FULL_PATH_S" "$A_FULL_PATH_D"The data comes from the output of a find command.
And no full source directories are in use, only some files.

I need to create recursive tar archive, while I put there only files of type a*.txt.
Without file filtering the command is: tar cfzf test.tar.gz test_tar/
How I include the switch for including only files with pattern a*.txt ?
