Replace Drive

Any help appreciated

Sco Unix Ver 5.0+

Have 2 90 gig mirrored drives

Can these be replaced with any similar drive?

Can one just be replaced and will the mirror rebuild on it and then allow reboot on it ---then replace 2nd drive?

Thanks

Generally speaking, yes.
The replacement drive should be at least as large as the original, and preferably the same speed.
Are you using hardware/firmware mirroring, or software mirroring through Veritas software?
Some RAID configurations will only boot from LUN 0.
Remember, you can't have too many backups.

There should be a utility installed from the EFS diskettes/Smartstart CD that will allow you to mark mark a drive down, and stop it prior to removing it.
