UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hi, guys, long time lurker here. I was just using Vi to do some programming and everything was fine with the colors and sytax highlighting and whatnot. But all of a sudden (I'm assuming I accidentally hit a bad key) all my backslash's ('/') backgrounds turned yellow. Any idea why it would do this? I've tried exiting and re-opening and everything to no avail. Thanks in advance...

You might have inadvertently searched for a backslash.

Hit ESC and type the following:

:nohl

then hit return.
