To trigger the script on particular time we have crontab.
Similarly in a path, when a file comes particular script has to run.

We had a requirement like we should find the user whoever logged into sqlplus through UNIX automatically.
For that we should write a script and store the result in file.
we will get that user manually by using WHO command.
can anybody help me how to trigger?

syslog - Generate a system log message
SYNOPSIS
bool syslog (int $priority, string $message)
DESCRIPTION
syslog(3) generates a log message that will be distributed by the system logger.
For information on setting up a user defined log handler, see the syslog.conf(5) Unix manual page. More information on the syslog facili-
ties and option can be found in the man pages for syslog(3) on Unix machines.
PARAMETERS

-$priority is a combination of the facility and the level. Possible values are:
