Right. I'd say this FS is seriously corrupted. Unmount and do an "fsck" to if it isn't beyond repair already. I doubt that simply unlink()-ing a few files - even if it would work - would change anything about this condition. Probably best is to start the "R&R" (restart & restore) process.

Notice that you have to check the "lost+found" directory meticulously after the final "fsck" run to pick up whatver file leftovers "fsck" has put there.

I'm not sure if I overlooked your system/OS info. If you happen to have debugfs installed, there's a kill_file command:

I did umount and fsck -oful and no issues.
I will be checking on clri utility.

In this case I would try the following:

mount ...
unlink bad

Most OS allow the root user to unlink a directory. If successful it will corrupt the file system if it contained files with data.
Code:
umount ...
fsck
mount ...

Look for data in the file system's lost+found.
