What command do I use to determine how many/what kind/how big the hard drives on a box are?

What flavor of Unix are you running?

for aix you want to look at the lsvg set of commands.

for solaris look into the format command.

command to know how much hard dirves in a box

Hi Dear,
to know the how much hard disk in ur box
give command

It display u how much harddisk in ur box.
Also us p for partition
p for print to know the partion in harddisk with size.
