USB FileSystem

I'm New in the UNIX World I Recenlty Installed OpenSuse On My Machine, I Loove it, and even though it's a complete new thing i think i truly like it, Anyway for some reason MY USB flash stick i was able to copy/paste from before now it wont let me write or change anything from it only READ it says Input/Output Error I opened it from the command Prompt and with root priviligies i attemted to create a directory But same error, I cannot figure out what the problem might be it's a 16GB usb flash Drive, Thank you kindly for your help

How do you have the flash drive mounted?

Any error messages in dmesg?

mmmm Mounted ? i never had to do that... maybe i Unmounted it ?
