Question display the timestamp of a server UNIX

I can't find the command shell UNIX to display the timestamp of the current date.
It's not an option of the commande date.

Do you just want the time on a Unix system? date should provide that... if not, please post back with the type of Unix you are using - I'll do my best to look into it.

my UNIX version AIX 4.3 (not sure) but the shell is sh.
I want to display the time on the timestamp format.
