Do the read and write policies apply to resync process? At least I thought the read and write policies are to tell the md driver how to handle incoming I/O calls from the user space.The resync process perhaps does not fall into that category. But my understanding maybe flawed.
Let me know if you find any links/doc that shows mirror resyncs are done within the confines of the I/O policies. I would like to read it up and learn. Thanks in advance.

the main point is you have one good copy of the data. for you to lose data the primary disk will also need to fail or have errors. if it is raid 1 then your reloading/restoring the system or files because only one drive can fail at a time.

rebooting before a resync is done will not cause the one good copy of data to be lost. it's not best practice but your not going to lose data simply because of the reboot.

now sure how the I/O policies impact the resync.
