Heart OS and Love OS?

Hi everyone. Our professor in Operating Systems gave us a research work about the Heart OS and Love OS. We were told that they were old operating systems from UNIX but I couldn't find any information about them from google. I hope someone here could point me to the right direction. Thanks!

This is the only related (maybe) reference I can find. I didn't read the paper (1982 ACM), so I don't know what relationship it has, if any, to UNIX.

Never heard of either of them. May be some obscure codename for a particular release of a variant of Unix. Please let us know when you find out.

Here is what I found out so far. It turns out that they are linux operating systems. The Caldera Open Linux is what was called the Love OS maybe because Ransom Love was the CEO. The heart OS is probably what's posted above or this linux.die.net/man/3/heart

Where did you unearth that information from? As far as I know, Caldera Open Linux was never called the Love OS.

Doubt it. Heart is simply a Erlang module to provide a heartbeat.

HeartOS is a POSIX-based hard real-time operating system that has been designed for small to medium embedded applications including safety critical applications. HeartOS operates on x86, PowerPC, ARM[9] and other 16-bit and 32-bit processors. It is configurable without the POSIX interface layer for memory-constrained systems. In wikipedia search for "DDC-I" - the developer of HeartOS.
