copying an encoder

Dear all,

I'm using an encoder to encode a binary format file into text format file, so i have to use it in another machine....so how can i take a copy of that encoder to it, i tried to copy the decoder file but it didn't work.

can anyone please help me?

it's called genericcdrreader filename i took file genericcdrreader with cp

which system use?
any error when you start to encoder file?

this file which you copied to another machine , is binary file or script ?
maybe you can cp full directory which in the file or also cp configuration files..

the error is command not found, the system is solaris, and the encoder is a binary file, how can i know the configuration files of the encoder !?

You have told us the source OS i.e Solaris. You have not told us if it is a 64-bit or 32-bit platform or a SPARC or Intel platform. You have not told us what the OS of the target machine is. SPARC? Intel? 32-Bit? 64-bit? You have not told us whether this is an executable or a binary data file.

How do you expect people to help you? You simply are not providing enough information for any meaningful answer to be given to you.

i cant use this app and if only use for you can search different alternative softwares..

any output?
