Error at command

Hi all,

i want to use "at" command in script.
Suppose, i have got myscript.sh script and it will run script.sh script at 9:40.

myscript.sh exists this command:
at 9:40
script.sh

****
But my script.sh didnt work. How can i run script.sh vi "at" command.


Must i use it only on command line ? Smilie

i know cron.But,

when i want to use script.sh via cron, it hadn't run, i think i have got permission problem. if i success run script.sh via "at" command.
i will call myscript.sh(will run script.sh) via cron.

Try this:

echo "/full/path/to/command | at 09:40"

The reason is this: the at command reads the commands to run from stdin, which is the keyboard in an interactive session. By piping the echo into at you simulate that.

About
cron : Either you are not allowed, else you have an environment issue ( if it runs interactively, by launching the script that is...) - cron know nothing but PATH:/bin:/usr/bin
Anything else cron needs has to be initialized in your script...
at: read again the man pages - at executes jobs - a job (HP-UX) can be a file so you use -f <job-file> or like pludi's solution

or if u want a mail regarding execution
at -m 09:40 < script.sh

* * * * * command to be executed

| +----------- hour (0 - 23)
+------------- min (0 - 59)


Set proper environment and permission !

Command to be executed :

export USER=user; /path/script to be executed
