Question Configuration of SPRAC

I am very new to UNIX and Solaris. I have a question concerning the configuration of a SPRAC workstation. Can the configurations be changed? The workstation was setup to be a stand-alone but needs to be on the network. How would one go about changing the configuration?

Any help would be appreciated!

Computer Configuration of SPARC

To configure a stand alone machine to be on network. You can use sys-unconfig (This is for Solaris). Be careful, if your O.S is less than 2.6 since sometimes it will hang when your are doing this on 2.5.1 or less.
Or you can manually modify those files
(Based on your set up)
/etc/hostname."Interface" (i.e. /etc/hostname.hme0)
/etc/net/hosts* (there are 3 files)

also, check your /etc/nsswitch."xxx" (i.e. /etc/nsswitch.conf or nsswitch.nis...)
