awk - display from line number to regex

Hi. Is there a way in awk to show all lines between a line number and the next line containing a particular regex? We can do these, of course:

Code:
awk '/regex1/,/regex2/' filename
awk 'FNR > X && FNR < Y' filename

But can they be combined? Thanks.

Not really clear, can you give an example of your input file and the desired output?

Yes:

Code:
zsh-4.3.10[t]% print -l {a-d}
a
b
c
d
zsh-4.3.10[t]% print -l {a-d}|awk 'NR == 2,/c/'
b
c

Ah, that works perfectly, radoulov. I was trying to do:

Code:
awk 'NR == 2,/c/'

... but since 'start_condition,end_condition' specifies a range, mine would be ambiguous and possibly redundant. Thanks.
