Yes... It lists all open files on the system, every last one. That line means process 28309 has /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock open... to see which files have a dbus socket open try lsof | grep dbus , getting the idea?

The two /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket are normal. Used by system bus component of D-Bus. The /var/run/hald/dbus-* are also probably normal. Used by the hardware abstraction layer to notify consumers of D-Bus messages that something has changed in the hardware.

I havn't installed solaris 10 (nor any solaris in a long time). I noticed that during the install the file system layout allowed me to create a swap partition, but there wern't enough partitions to create a /var/run (I am mirroring the disk config of another system).
