Xhost and ILO

I have an application that requires me to disable the restricted access to the X Server libraries by issuing the 'Xhost +' command from a Console Window.

It is important that this command is run from the Console Window and not a Terminal Window otherwise the system complains that DISPLAY is not set. If I set the DISPLAY to my IP:0.0 to allow the X Window to open, then the disabling of the restricted access to the X server libraries appears to only be effective for that particular X session and not all user sessions ( as is the case when you issue the command from the Console Window ).

When I use an ILO card connection, I again get the error that DISPLAY is not set.

I need to have some means other than direct console connection for issuing the 'Xhost +' command and for it to be effective across all user conections rather than simply the current session.

Any ideas ?
