command not found
Dear all,
I made a FDTD code (in fortran) and i run it on the supercomputer (NEC SX-6) which is unix based. now here is the problem, if i run small program it runs without problem, but if i increase the size of the program (but exactly the same code I get the message "command not found". i was told to in order to overcome this problem i have to ignore the first line of the shell script.i.e "# PBS -S /usr/bin/tsch", when i do that some progams run some dont bringing the same "command not found" stuff. what could be wrong? has anyone came across this problem? please help

i have no access to NEC SX-6 so i can only give a general hint !

the first line normaly contains the shebang #! and the interpreter /bin/sh with full path.
I have seen two problems.

-using DOS and therefore changing the UNIX '\n' into '\r\n'
-a missing shared library.

the first can be check by using od and looking for the lineterminator.
the second must be checked with 'ldd' (linux). The dynamic loader is a bit different for most systems so you may need to use an other cmd.
