Power directory creation
Hi Friends,
I am trying to move some files from one directory to another.
but if the destination directory doesnt exist then i have to create one and then move files to that.
For this i have to write a script.
please help.

Hi Bhargav,
Thanks for the reply but what i am trying to do is an automated perl or shell ftp which will try to ftp files to a destination directory and once the ftp is success then i am trying to move files from the source directory on the source system to a archive directory on the same system.
So if the archive directory doesnt exist then i have to create that.
So how to i check this condition whether it exists or not and if it doesnt exist then i have to create one.and then only move the files to that.
