He wants to sftp files from a server while passing the password in the script. I have said we need to use keys...he said no.
I asked if we had expect capability...no.

It seems I can do ssh <IP> but not ssh <hostname>
If I try to ssh to hostname I get the error - No DSA host key is known for host1 and you have requested strict checking.
Host key verification failed.
Where do I set up the DSA keys? Is it ssh_known_hosts?

Hi,
I am trying to connect through SFTP. Though the DSA 2048 public key is installed in the server machine, the connection is established only with password authentication! When i turn off password authentication in sshd_config file the connection is not working.

i have a scenario where the dsa key's might be tampered in the remote host.
My shell script is doing something like this
/bin/ssh -v -i /home/erp/.ssh/dsa ref@host ls /home/test/auto.log

gesftpserver - Green End SFTP Server
SYNOPSIS
/usr/lib/gesftpserver [OPTIONS]
DESCRIPTION
gesftpserver implements the SFTP protocol. It is normally run as an SSH subsystem but can be run in other contexts if necessary.
CONFIGURING OPENSSH
By default, OpenSSH will use its native SFTP server in response to requests for the SFTP subsystem. To use gesftpserver instead, add a
suitable Subsystem command to sshd_config (and remove the existing one if present). For example:
Subsystem sftp /usr/lib/gesftpserver
IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS
gesftpserver supports up to version 6 of the SFTP protocol and the following extensions:
newline
Reports the server's newline convention to the client.
space-available
Equivalent to df(1).

Used for resuming text file downloads.
