E420r Error :(
Hi,
I recently purchased a E420R server, unfortunately even though it was packed brilliantly, the seller had left the container outside (under a tarp) and I found when I opened it, there was condensation on the memory, probably MB too.

Anyways, when I power on, I can see a green LED that is lit up (middle of MB), when I power on the server beeps and shuts down in about a second. I can see on the front panel that the power and the maintenance led (spanner) flash for a sec and then auto shut off.

I have taken all memory out, and the same result, as soon as I power on it beeps and turns off (the fans start to spin for a sec).

Is the MB shot? If so, can it be easily (cheaply) replaced? Is it worth it?

Your advice/thoughts around this issue would be *greatly* appreciated.

hmm ...

when you opened up the box by removing the cover to take out the ram, before you powered back up the server again did you replace back the cover? There is a sensor on the cover, if the lid is open it will never boot up. Maybe im thinking that could be yur problem.

but condensation you say? You mean there's water on the memory?
