Please help

Currently,We uses ‘recode' and ‘iconv' utilities for converting UTF8 files to EBCDIC/ASCII and vice versa. These utilities were installed years ago and are outdated now. So, these tools are not supporting all the characters that are in UTF8 now.

We need to find out if there is any other software available (for Solaris UNIX) in the industry which can do this effectively.

ð It should be able to convert files from UTF8/UTF16 to EBCDIC/ASCII and vice versa.

ð It should be able to support all characters supported by current UTF8/UTF16 standards.

ð It would be helpful if the software has debug options to find problems with data in file while converting (For example, sometimes UTF8 file comes with UTF16 characters).

ð It would be helpful if the software provider provides updates which would keep the support for character sets current.

Please help me

Then who will permit you to install the software on the Solaris box?
