Help : Need a help !!
Hi every body,
excuse my english.
I need urgently a help please.
How can I mesure IO on my server Solaris 8.5 ?
I think that I reduce IO, but I don't know how can I mesure this reduction ?

I know the command SAR, but I think I need more ....

iostat and sar would be the standard tools for this. You could also download and use SWAT ( Server workload analysis tool ) from the Sun website and use that.

I kow to use sar.

1) But for iostat, could you tell me the right option, to list the state of IO ?

2) could you tell me if I can use command for may days ago ( like sar with sar -f /var/log/sa/sa05 -s 18:00:00 -e 18:30:00 ) ?
