I'm guessing that the only other machine you have available is a windows based machine.
Download VMware server from
www.vmware.com and the x86 version of Solaris.
Install VMware and choose 'bridged mode' for networking during setup. Install solaris x86 into a vm, then using the SPARC iso create a jumpstart in the VM. You should then be able to boot the blade over the network.
I download the VMware software, it didn't ask me to choose 'bridge mode' in the setup wizard, and i don't understand where and how i should install solaris x86 into a vm, then using the SPARC iso create a jumpstart in the VM.
I install 10base cable from the sunblade system to my windows laptop and i get this message
Boot device: net File and args:
Link hasn't comeup yet.
Will try to communicate anyway.
Network Link Setup Failed.
Please Check Cable and Try Again.
Thank you.
