Solaris

hi all,

I'm looking for a command to display the WWN of my 2 HBAs cards installed on my Solaris 8 server.

I have installed HP securepath for multipathing but I can only see the controllers info of my SAN with spmgr display command.

Any ideas ?

One way to check is to do a format (as root). The WWN, I believe, is the last 12 characters BEFORE the last comma.

Do you have all the qlc patches and SUNWsan installed?

Good question, I'm not sure.

you can check by luxadm command if its solaris.

$ luxadm probe
$ luxadm -e port

$ luxadm -e dump_map <xyz> where xyz= your connected port.

SAN Foundation Software versions display as such ...

All of above assumes Sun-QLogic (qlc) not QLogic (qla).

Just thought of something ... Last time I did SecurePath on Solaris, (2 years ago), the HBA's were purchased from HP, not Sun. I believe they were straight QLogic (qla), in which case, QLogic commands would be used to probe the HBA.
