Disabling xwindows at startup

Guys, I run a Solaris 9 system and have been requested to stop xwindows from starting as a boot process.

Any idea how I do this ?

Thanks
Livy

Solaris 9 probably is starting CDE login service (dtlogin) on boot, not the older X windows service.

On the server as root:
# cd /etc/rc2.d
# mv S99dtlogin s99dtlogin

While you can move the file, it'd be better if you use /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig to disable the startup. It really does the same thing but there are other options you can pass to dtconfig as well.
