Btw i have backed up ld.so.1 yesterday before replacing that file from other prod server, so when i checked that file today it was empty, so i have coiped the backed up file over to the original file.

If you've replaced a file that you think might have caused the problem you could try a straight reboot to see if it works.
If it doesn't then you can still reboot from cd into single user again.
What helps do you need with vfstab?
vfstab is a very important file so copy it to vfstab.backup first
You can edit this file with your favourite editor and remove references to 'md' and replace them with normal device(s) eg. /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 and the like.
Btw when i again used to boot with cdrom using single user mode and then do fsck and then mounted the root partition to /a then i still see a empty file for ld.so.1

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to interrupt the boot of my Sparc 5 via a serial terminal.
