Hi Jillagre,

I followed the explained procedure, but i am getting the following error. What sort of privileges it is expecting for ?

dtrace: failed to initialize dtrace: DTrace requires additional privileges

I have given the following permission to the file named tracegz.d

-rwxrwxr-x   1 user       group      178 Nov 25 09:43 tracegz.d

I have copied the script under the directory user. And the file "name.tar.gz" is getting creating in different path. By using the below command i am executing the script

dtrace -s /export/home/user/tracegz.d

The expected privileges are "dtrace_proc" and "dtrace_user", which can be grant to user "username" with this command:

# usermod -K defaultpriv=basic,dtrace_proc,dtrace_user username

Alternatively, just run dtrace as root.
