if you are using CDE, the per user config should be,

Code:

$HOME/.dt/sessionetc

per user CDE session start file (script with execute perm).

Code:

$HOME/.dt/sessionexit

per user CDE exit file (script with execute permission).

try to look at Xsessions on you man page. you should be able to see more information from there.
