rsynch error -- cannot execute

Hi,

I have just installed the rsync package on a server and when I try to just do a /usr/local/bin/rsync --help I get this

# /usr/local/bin/rsync --help
/usr/local/bin/rsync: cannot execute

I am running the command as root and the file is a+r+w. When I tried this on a different server it ran OK. What simple thing am I missing??

Thanks,
Giles
