Help with old Sun server...

This is actually an embarrassing post to begin with, so I won't spell out the whole story and simply ask if there is anyone willing to help me with an old Sun Enterprise 250, running Solaris 5.8. It is serving a website, and a mysql database, behind a PIX firewall - without problems. I did not set any of this up, but I did inherit it...

What I would like to do is figure out how to access said mysql database and make edits to it from a windows machine elsewhere on the local network.

I'm not new to windows or mysql, but I am new to unix and servers in general. So if there is some brave soul in here that wouldn't mind giving me some pointers, I would gratefully appreciate it.

       cvcredir - virtual console redirection driver

DESCRIPTION

       The  cvcredir  virtual console redirection driver is a STREAMS-based pseudo driver that supports the network console provided on some plat-
       forms. The cvcredir driver interfaces with the virtual console driver cvc(7D), and the  virtual console	daemon,  cvcd(1M).

       The  cvcredir driver receives console output from cvc and passes it to  cvcd. It receives console input from  cvcd and passes it to  cvc.
