You don't have an install disk (CDROM) or rescue disk (CDROM)?

Then, your best solution is to go build one and boot off that CDROM.

Then, after you boot of that CDROM, mount the offending filesystem(s) so you can find and fix the problem(s).

Your system already gives you clues as to what the problem is:

Quote:
Method "/lib/svc/method/svc-dcs" failed with exit status 96
.

The document you provided does not mention either "svc-dcs" or "exit status 96". These are the "clues" to solving the problem.

Follow your clues.

Find out what "exit status 96" means, for example. The document you posted does not mention any exit status codes, does it?

In fact, most people would first run a Google search on the error message.

For example:

exit status 96 - Google Search

The exit code 96 in SMF means there is some configuration error (SMF_EXIT_ERR_CONFIG).

This error might be the fact, that an attempt is made to start DCS (a daemon for dynamic reconfiguration), which is only supported on the larger enterprise class servers, but not the V240.

The watchdog reset could also be caused by an architecture mismatch. Is it possible, that on the boot disks there is a image taken from a DR-capable server?
