You are trying to run a X server on the Solaris server. This is useless. The X11 server only need to run on your desktop machine, i.e. Windows in your case.

It seems no session is selected from in the CDE login page.

There should have been the session name between "execing" and "with". Here is what I got:

I see that. Very interesting. Any idea how to go about fixing that situation?

Start by investigating these errors:

Does /usr/dt/bin/dtsession exist on your system ? It is part of the SUNWdtwm package.

Thank you once again for all of your help. I got it working on one machine. For the heck of it, I tried to mimic it on the other machine.

I installed all of the same packages and copied over all of the same libraries from /usr/dt/lib

However, on machine b, when I attempt to exceed to it, I get nothing. So to help me better understand this process, anyone have an outline on how this works? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I would like to know for sure instead of wild guesses until it works.

When I try to exceed to machine b, the startlog doesn't even populate. dtlogin is running in the background. I enabled rexec and rstat.
