ILOM on X4450

I bought a new Netra X4450 and this is my first time experience with intel based Sun server. I powered on the machine and went through the Sun wizard to complete OS configuration. Now I am on the root prompt and trying to get to the ILOM. On Sparc based servers I used to be able to go to the ILOM by pressing #. on console. I tried the same on this server but it does do the same.

Also, noticed there is no ok prompt!!! Initially, I was trying to boot from disk into single user mode in order to enable HW mirroring. I am reading the server dosumentation but that could not help me much. Those might be stupid questions but any guidance to over come this struggling start is appreciated...

No ok> prompts in the x-series.
If you want to navigate to the service processor(iLOM), do a "quick" #.
Hope you are connected to the serial. I wonder how you managed to install the OS first w/o going thru the SP??? Didn't you do any start SYS, start SP/console at the ilom ( -->)?
And boot from dvd to create the h/w raid.

Quick #. did not work! I am sure I am connected to the serial (i.e. SER MGT port).

You are right, when I first started the machine, I had to login to ILOM and then start SP/console. The machine came with the OS preinstalled, so I only had to go through the wizard. Now I am trying to figure out how to get back to ILOM and how I can install from disk??

Last but not least, I could figure out how to setup HW mirroring. When booting up, prss Ctrl C and that will take to LSI RAID configuration utility. From there I could setup RAID1.

Try using the Escape shift+( key sequence

You are right; you rock Smilie. Actually, when going back to console, it gives the message "Serial console started. To stop, type ESC (" which I have missed earlier. Thanks...
