mailt.crit

I am getting this error every 5 min. in the /var/adm/messages:

Apr 2 12:20:01 santeniq sendmail[8267]: [ID 702911 mail.crit] My unqualified host name (santeniq) unknown; sleeping for retry
Apr 2 12:21:01 santeniq sendmail[8267]: [ID 702911 mail.alert] unable to qualify my own domain name (santeniq) -- using short name

Solaris version is 10.

How can I get rid of these messages?

Thanks,

Frank

Add 'santeniq' to your hosts file so that it resolves to something.
Choosing the appropriate IP will depend on more factors than can be derived from your post.
Do you know what a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) is?

Thanks seg for your reply....please explain FQDN, and how it helps me to resolve this issue.

Google and Wikipedia can explain it better than me.
