Metasync question?

I have a T2000 running Solaris 10 that after reboot does not synch up my drives. Drives are mirrored with Sun Volume Manager. All mirrors show up in maint. state and require a metasync manually? Any thoughts??? I can't seem to find anything on this in the SVM guide. Thanks.

I've seen this on older versions of Solstice Disksuite where one of the RC scripts had been disabled, so perhaps running:
Code:
# svcs -xv

to look for failed SMF services relating to SVM and run:
Code:
# svcs -a | grep -i svm

To see if they are all online (svm is a guess as I don't have a Sol 10 system with SVM on it to hand to check what the service is called.

metasync |grep process

Thanks for the Response Tony* I am also having this problem on my Sol 9 boxes as well. Where do I check the services on the Sol 9 boxes?

Solaris 9 does not have the SMF services that Solaris 10 has, it has the normal RC scripts, so check for scripts in /etc/init.d and links with an S at the beginning of the name for starting services and a K at the beginning of the name for stopping, e.g.:
Code:
# ls -la /etc/rc?.d/*md*

I do not have access to a Solaris box with SDS/LVM/latest_name_for_disksuite on it but looking elsewhere on the web they might be:
Code:
/etc/rcS.d/S35SUNWmd.init
/etc/rc2.d/S95SUNWmd.sync
/etc/rc3.d/S25mdlogd
/etc/rc3.d/SUNWmdn
