magemu is a collection of tools for magnetic stripe card emulation. It consists of two back-end components, emsb and eab, and the front-end script magemu. emsb (Encode Magnetic Stripe Binary) is a stand-alone tool for encoding data into binary form for use on magnetic stripe cards. eab (Encode Aiken Biphase) encodes that binary data into an analogue signal for use with custom magnetic stripe card emulation hardware. Together, they allow for the software emulation of magnetic card swipes through a DSP device (any generic sound card).
