CPAN shell 1.9304 (Default branch)

The CPAN shell (and module) automates or at least simplifies the building and installation of Perl modules and extensions. It includes some primitive searching capabilities and knows how to use Net::FTP, LWP, and certain external download clients to fetch distributions from the Internet. Then it automatically tests and installs them and their dependencies. License: Perl License Changes:
A new PAUSE key is included. Image

This is a "CPANPLUS::Shell::Default" plugin that can add custom sources to your CPANPLUS installation. This is a wrapper around the "custom module sources" code as outlined in "CUSTOM MODULE SOURCES" in CPANPLUS::Backend. This allows you to extend your index of available modules beyond what's available on "CPAN" with your own local distributions, or ones offered by third parties. perl v5.14.2 2014-09-29 CPANPLUS::Shell::Default::Plugins::CustomSource(3perl)
