i've read somewhere a long time ago that there's a way to hide the workings of a script in sub functions so that when run, it doesn't show up in the process table.

and looking to print in this output format with headers. can you suggest in awk?awk because i am doing some pattern matching from parent file to print column 1 of my input using awk already.Thanks!

My variables are all happily created but the system chokes when I try to create the new table name example:
