Hi,

there are abundant ways to do this, one is:

Code:
sed "s/<.*\/.[^>]*>//" file

This will use sed to delete everything from "<" if its contains an "/" until the next closing ">".

Hammer & Screwdriver Probably simpler ways

Code:
echo '<dgjfgjdgfjsdg/kdfhgdhgjkhdfjkg/jkdfjhdk/kjfdhgkdjh=kjfh:"dfjgdjfg"><dfjvgdjgvdjgfvjdgfjgdjfgjkdg><jdfgvjdgfjgbdjfgbj>' | sed "s/>/>~/g" | tr "~" "\n" | grep -v "/" | tr -d "\n" ; echo

<dfjvgdjgvdjgfvjdgfjgdjfgjkdg><jdfgvjdgfjgbdjfgbj>
