Query regarding the functionality of OPTIONS (SKIP=1)
We have a shell script which helps in loading the data from a flat file to oracle table using a ctl file. in the begining of the ctl file we have the command OPTIONS (SKIP=1). I am not able to understand the functionality of this command. Could some one help me in explaining this command.

This sounds like an Oracle question if its in the .ctl file. Try asking again in the apps forumn (sorry, I don't know much about oracle)

Pipe Functionality

Hi, I am trying to emulate the '|' functionality through pipe function call. I am passing the o/p of exec in parent as input to the exec in child.
