For do loop
I am writing a health check script , I need some for adding the following to my script:-

In the beginning of my script I am using if loop my script start like this :-

Code:
for APPS in `cat /tmp/Ser.ini | grep Name= | cut -d'=' -f2 | sort -u` 
do
command 1 >> $APPS.Output
command 2 >> $APPS.Output
command 3 >> $APPS.Output

done

The output of (for APPS in `cat /tmp/Ser.ini) is :-

Code:
App1
App2

and the outout after all my code run will be :-

Code:
App1.Output
App2.Output



Now , I want to add this code to the script above :-

for LOG in `cat /tmp/Conf.ini | grep DataPath= | cut -d'=' -f2 | sort -u` 
do 
 
tail -93 $LOG/errors/Err.LOG  >> $APPS.Output 
done

The output of (for LOG in `cat /tmp/Conf.ini-) :-

Code:
/home/exp/log/App1
/home/exp/log/App2

I want to add the above code to the script where the output of each application's log go to the right application.

in the way I have it now , both output from :-

Code:
/home/exp/log/App1
/home/exp/log/App2

will be copy in each $APPS.Output.




So I want the out of (/home/exp/log/App1) go only under App1.Output

How about grepping for $APPS in the result of tail -93...?

Thats not going to work because the App name are not including in the out put of the logs:- here is example of the output:-

09/07/14 12:48:54 AM - Process(21603.21) User(xxxx) Program(amqww)

You could check if the $LOG variable has $APPS in it. If that doesn't fit your question, I'm afraid your requirements are not clear to me...

the output of this line alon :-

for LOG in `cat /tmp/Conf.ini | grep DataPath= | cut -d'=' -f2 | sort -u` /home/exp/log/App1

Code:
/home/exp/log/App1
/home/exp/log/App2

so the code above will print the logs from the output of the first line. the output will not has the name of the apps at all.
