No this is not homework. I'm not even in classes. I am just trying to learn man and have been trying to teach myself. I am just trying to get a grasp on matrix readers, so after I can mess around with tabular manipulation.

You seem to have figured out how to allocate an array of arrays (although there are more efficient ways). If you're just having trouble printing your matrix as an n row by n column display, just change:
Code:
      printf("%d ", array[i][j]);
    }
  }

to:
Code:
      printf("%d ", array[i][j]);
    }
    printf("\n");
  }

or to print each row without the trailing space, change:
Code:
      printf("%d ", array[i][j]);

to:
Code:
      printf("%d%c", array[i][j], j == (n - 1) ? '\n' : ' ');

Now, can you read the 1st line of your input and determine how many columns of data are present in that input file (without reading the number from the file saying how many columns are present?
