Add \t to each line except

I don't know how to add \t to each line except the line [xxxx]

sed '/^[^[]/s/^/\t/' infile

If for whatever reason your sed doesn't recognize the \t sequence,
insert a literal tab with Cntr+V <tab key>.

awk '/^\[/ {print} !/^\[/ {print "\t"$0}' insert_tab_in_files

Output will be as follows.
