Find the smallest block

Hi,

Here's my data -

aa
bb
cc
aa
dd
ee

Now I need to find the smallest block surrounded by aa & dd. Following is not helpful -

sed -n '/aa/,/dd/p' file

I need only -
aa
dd

nexional
