Thanks, I had studied the script again and obserbed, files are getting downloade, it was just a warning, which can be ignored.

Thanks again for your help in resolving the issue.

I'm not sure why you are trying to set x again.
Quote:
Code:
x=$(TZ=CST+24 date +%Y%m%d)
host='FTP IP Address'
user='user name'
pass='passcode'
echo "ftpinnnnggg to $host....."
a=$(ftp -v -n -i << !
open $host
user  "$user" $pass
#prompt off
cd root/reports/BH
x=$(TZ=CST+24 date +%Y%m%d)
mget Daily_BIH_$x_NEW.tar.gz
bye
!)

If you take out the line I've highlighted in red and then put braces {} round the variable x then it may work a little better.
Code:
x=$(TZ=CST+24 date +%Y%m%d)
host='FTP IP Address'
user='user name'
pass='passcode'
echo "ftpinnnnggg to $host....."
a=$(ftp -v -n -i << !
open $host
user  "$user" $pass
#prompt off
cd root/reports/BH
mget Daily_BIH_${x}_NEW.tar.gz
bye
!)

Can you have a go with that and let us see the output?
