HI gaca,
One doubt. The below code does not find the hidden text files.
What should i add in the below code

Code:
find . -name "*.txt"

Try
Code:
find . -type f -name ".""*.txt"

To find hidden files with txt extension.
Let me know if it works for you.

You can specify multiple name options
Code:
-name ... -o -name ...

edit: although, find . -type f -name "*.txt" with a single -name option should also return hidden files.

Use single quotes:
Code:
find . -type f -name '*.txt'

This is in fact the main difference between Posix /usr/xpg4/bin/find and old Unix /usr/bin/find!
Safe and portable is
Code:
find . -type f \( -name '*.txt' -o -name '.*.txt' \) -print
