Comparing two files

Dear all,
I have to compare two files which have just digits. And need to figure out if particuler digit is in one file but missing in another file.

for example file1
Code:
100
200
300
400
500
600
700
800
900
888

file1
Code:
100
200
300
400
500
700
800
900
888

The digit in RED is not present in one file. And there is no guarantee if the order of the digits wouldbe same.

Any help?

Unless I overlooked something:
Code:
$ cat file1
100
200
300
400
500
700
800
900
888
$ cat file2
100
200
300
400
500
600
700
800
900
888
$ grep -vf file1 file2
600
$

Hi bipinajith and Scott,
Thanks for the reply. Somehow both did not work. The reason could be that I overlooked one major difference among two files.
file1
Code:
 49948595
49948598
49948627
49948638
49948661
49948730
49948733
49948743
49948752
49949227
49949265
49949363
49949373
49949430
4994949

file1
Code:
 1 49948515
1 49948548
1 49948567
1 49948595
1 49948598
1 49948627
1 49949265
1 49949363
1 49949373
1 49948638
1 49948661
1 49948730
1 49948733
1 49948743
1 49948752
1 49949227
1 49949265
1 49949363
1 49949373
1 49949430
1 49949493

And here I need to compare the two files. Ofcourse file 2 column 2.

Please let me know, if it kind of urgent. I have some ~10k lines of files. And I need to figure out the different digit.

Also to mention, the no of lines could be different in two files.

Greetings,
emily
