Build your C++ program (making sure that the output is written to standard output). If your program's name is prog, then invoke the command line:
Code:
prog | more

Thanx for ur reply......but my problem is that I have written the code in proC in unix environment using cursors which displays some data. But the number of data is too large and I have to scroll to see all the data. So can you suggest some way of using more command so that I can see the data in a pagewise manner(15 or 20 at a time) instead of scrolling.....
thanx in advance.....

I don't know what you mean by using cursors. If you mean that you use libcurses in your proC code to display the data instead of just writing plain text to standard output, then you need to build the logic into your program to control pagination that will make the output readable for people running your program.

If your program just writes text to standard output, then piping the output through the more utility (or the less utility, or the pg utility, or whatever pager you have on your system that you're comfortable using) should work. The example I gave used the more utility since your original message in this thread said you wanted to use the more command of unix.
